Today was a good day for Joey. He's taking his hourly suctions better today only because now, some of the old blood is coming up out of his chest area. The old blood has been in him since the accident so its good that that's coming out. He also had another fair share of visitors today. Many more revisited Joey again. Today has been rough for Joey. The day started out pretty subtle, he had visitors. Lauryn Hanna and her mom Cindy came in and spoke to him for awhile. All the while, Lauryn read Joey a poem she wrote the night before and sang a song from the wide collection of Jack Johnson which teared just about everyone in the room, even me. I just got a news update before I leave. The family at the hospital got Joey's MRI results back. His brain hasn't suffered any tearing or anything, it has just been beaten around tremendously. So, simply, Joey's brain is bruised. This indeed is serious now, but the docs say that in the future, it will heal itself eventually.

I have just returned from Saint Joseph's hospital with TJ Pattea and we visited an unconscious Joey in his room. He has suffered tremendous injuries but still his will to live is stronger than ever.
