spam mail

Generally speaking, I have done pretty well at keeping spam out of my inbox. Of course, being paraniod and not putting my real email address anywhere on the web probably helps so I was a little miffed to get a piece this evening. But I was a whole lot more miffed when I realised that it wasn't even addressed to me. Do any of you know how I can ( Read more... )

It probably was sent to you. The To: field that is displayed by your email client should be the same as the RCPT TO parameter actually used to send the email but doesn't have to be. Its a bit like putting one address on the envelope and a different one at the top of the letter itself. If you only saw the letter you wouldn't understand how it got to you.
