Running karma

There I am about halfway through what I reckon is about a 9 mile or so run this lunchtime and I can hear a bike behind me, so I move to the side to let him ride past. He says 'I thought I'd never catch you up. You are running as fast as I ride a bike ( Read more... )

It does not make me feel better about being in the same Tri as you :-/ Assuming Burnham has not filled up yet.

When I cycle to work it takes me about an hour to cover the 12 or so miles. Very roughly 12 miles an hour.
I used to think that that was pretty reasonable, and then I realised that, say, Paula Radcliff runs a marathon in 2hr20. ie roughly 12 miles an hour.

I'm guessing that your run is about an hour, so I'm faster than you but not as dramatically as you'd think considering I'm riding a bike.
