It was my hostage taker who released me, as the terms of him holding me hostage were met. And he got bored of me, I think.

Any emotion aside from despair is a delusion! A form of mental illness to make the world less threatening!

There's always something to be thankful for. The roof over your head, the food you eat, and the fact none of it was caught up in the battle.
