I've the bud of what could become my next obsession: miniatures. I want to get into tabletop gamming cause it looks like a blast. Painting minis, showing them off, putting them on a table to duke it out with some friends. What system are you going to want to get into. Be aware that no matter what you play you're going to need to spend 40 dollars almost off the top and probably end up somewhere in the 100 dollar range.

Warhammer and anything by Game's workshop means that you will at least have store dedicated to that subject.

The other big mini games now use that pre painted plastic from china.

So unless you want to get into the niche of mini gaming, or some other avenue I don't know of, thats how it breaks.
