There's someone new in the woods. This someone is a young woman, about 16, with her hair tied up on her head and wearing a casual shirt and breeches. There are some curious things about her, though -- the first is that she's accompanied by a small blue dragon. The dragon is a baby, about the size of a large dog, and ambling about the trees with ( Read more... )

When the little flutter of animals which Elured and Elurin keep around starts to get excited, they follow them, curiously. Part of Elured is worried: perhaps the little beasts are feeling neglected: ever since they aged up, they did pay less attention to their small friends. Maybe they're angry with them.

Elurin is curious and more interested in the girl, and looks at her, head tilted.

"So. You went and called our pack, or what?" The question could come from either of them, really.

Because that'st just weird. Their little furballs don't do that usually.

"I didn't call them. They just came to say hello," Daine shrugs and lowers her bow, watching the twins very carefully. "I've got a knack with animals, is all." That's the understatement of the year, but it works for her purposes. Besides, it's nice having friends everywhere you go.

Said twins are curious and oddly relaxed. An Edain girl who talks to animals is no thread - the beasts of the forest know evil and avoid, they muse.

"Ah, well," the boys reply in almost creepy unison, before one of them continues. "Guess that comes in handy. Saved us when we were kid, that.”

He talks like a hardboiled cop. That’s Elurin - he’s been reading too much Hammett recently.

"Me, too," she says, looking serious. Well, except for the parts where she went a little insane. "Well, lots more times, I guess." It's handy, having wild magic.

Anita's beast whirled on itself, forcing her out of bed - she has a painful hangover - thank you, Khary.

So out she is, in a jumper, grumbling things about this stupid house and how its magic won't even let a girl get a rest.

Of course, she's as grumpy today, as she was joyful the day before. And here she is, against a tree. Observing, for now.

She's in no mood to talk, but she will, she will.

Hm. Forgive my epic mistype.

Daine stills and watches her for a minute, absently giving pets to Kitten. "Hello," she says after a moment, frowning curiously. "Who're you, then?"

Anita lifts her eyebrows, and cocks her head to the side. "Who's asking?"

"Daine. Daine Sarrasri." She motions to Kitten, who's now standing next to Daine, looking curious. "This is Kit."
