Those near the largest common room may here some muffled expressions of surprise, a bit of shuffling, and some furniture moving in a small side room. There's a low man's voice, more muttering than truly speaking

Sitting at a table in the room where Alfred landed is a gentleman writing, making notes doggedly, and quite seriously. He hasn't quite paid attention to the noise: when Pascal is working, he is truly in another world.
Borden re-angles himself, subtly, to see the writing, but frowns a bit when he (presumably) sees it is in French. After a moment, he says, "Excuse me, sir."
"Good day," he returns, not closing the distance she's placed between them. "I... apologize if there has been any intrusion. I assure you, it was not my intention."
She shakes her head, composure returning rapidly. She is a Princess of the proud Noldor, after all. "You are not intruding, Lord, I was only passing." A beat, and she adds, "You look lost."
