Winter

They are all there - her husband, his father, her children, and the other Enchanters. Azhure opens her mouth to speak, and then...  The song is like nothing she's ever heard. Her father, WolfStar, that madman. He has done this, somehow, ripped her from her very reality and put her quite somewhere else. She can remember the cold of winter that ( Read more... )

Robb Stark! Sword hanging forgotten at his side, is now wondering what the hell is going on here. And in the meantime staring in wide eyed awe that definitely betrays his age. It's not old, we'll give you a hint.

His wolf, on the other hand, is a good deal less trusting, taking his boy's surprise as a bad thing, and has hackles raised and is growling quietly. Said wolf is also nearing the size of a small pony. Might want to do something about that, Robb is currently too awed to notice.

Azhure becomes aware that her pause in her walking has been noticed by the wolf upon the instance of his growling. She turns and blinks rapidly at the boy and his companion. Her wings fan out, and she's ready to flee should the wolf decide to make her a Tasty. The wolf from before was not quite as vocal.

"You startled me!" she says, hoping that if she sounds as surprised as he looks, the situation will cool off rather fast.

Robb looks startled as well, at her startlement, then hears Grey's growling and says, firmly, "Grey, quiet," and perhaps surprisingly, he does. Though sitting protectively on his boy's feet and watching Azhure with golden eyes. Robb can barely keep from gawking, and tries to make an awkward bow.

Yes, with the wolf on his feet. "My Lady."

Azhure inclines her head to the boy, bowing somewhat - it would have been awkward with that dress of hers to bow all the way, clearly. "My Lord," she replies. She tilts her head to the left a little, and then gestures to the wolf.

"I have a pack of dogs with very similar behaviour traits," she says. "The male, Sicarius - it was hard for anyone to get close to me when he decided he didn't think they should be speaking to me," she added with a laugh. And then - "I'm Azhure. I'm new to this land. You are...?"

Here is someone more welcoming. Angelique is staring, wide-eyed, at the --- ~angel~. She lets out an awe-filled gasp, and tries to follow, though the burns on her legs are making her stride tetchy.

She's very dedicated to speaking to the angle, though, and will be trying to get in contact in every way she can think of, which presently consists of waving enthusiastically.

She knew this place was paradise. She knew that this had to make sense, somehow.

The angel will explain everything, she's certain.

Azhure spotted the mane of blonde hair perhaps before she spotted the girl herself. She was hesitant to approach her, but the way that she was signaling so... enthusiastically. Azhure detoured off her thought-out course and began heading for her. "Hello!" she called, trying to let the simple greeting fill the gap that it took her to actually get there.

When she arrived, she hated to admit that she didn't want to ask where she was - it would make her look insane. How could you just appear somewhere and not know your location? She instead smiled at the girl, trying to look as nonthreatening as possible - and since she wasn't armed, that was easy enough.

In Azhure's presence, all Angelique can think to do is to kneel, and she does, even if it hurts, even if the bandages press into her raw flesh exquisitely.

She crosses herself, without taking her eyes off the angelic figure, and whispers, "Forgive me, for I have sinned."

And then she waits, because the Angel certainly came to deliver a message, and she should listen.

Noting the bandages, Azhure dove for the girl, holding out her hands and urging her to stand up. "I'm sure you haven't!" she exclaimed, "Now please, you'll only hurt yourself on the ground. Let me help you up?"

She was sweet in appearance, but Azhure had always had the notion that angels were golden beings with fair complexion and hair. She was pale, but her hair was black as pitch. It was something that set her apart from many of the Icarii - true, they came in varying forms, but the SunSoars all were gilded, while Azhure was... well, a Nors.

"Can you tell me your name, dear?" she asked. She didn't know what else to call her, but the girl was so delicate. She didn't want to frighten her. "And why do you think you've sinned?"

World Trade Federation doesn't quite cover it. Belize stares, a long, long, long time. His eyes are wide and he actually drops the glass of grape juice he was taking on the porch.

"F***," he gasps, aloud. "And Prior isn't even here. Damn it. If this one's called Candle, I'm lighting a friggin' candle in the flippin' chapel."

He can't quite help but stare a LOT. This is still something new to him. Well. It's just about as weird as the scary guy with the batwings.

Pardon the language, this one's from [Angels in America]. XDD

At the sound of the glass hitting the porch, Azhure is only now dimly aware that there is a porch and indeed a house attached to it. She literally jumped at the noise, having only been in the company of birds 'til just then. She shook off the start and then made her way straight to the figure on the porch, determined to get answers.

She got to the porch in such a rush that she really hadn't thought of what to say, so she settled for, "I'm horribly lost," and looked very unsure of herself. It was almost funny how on-course she'd been and then how quickly her face fell. Azhure was losing her bearings.

Belize will be staring quite a bit throughout Raina's trek to the porch... and then he'll be grasping for words, perhaps taking a step back, even. Unfortunately for him, he's now caught between Azhure and the wall, and grappling for words.

"Not earth, not heaven, some think it might be hell. Beyond that, I can't be much help, er, sorry."

He's fairly uncomfortable, and considering telling this lost Angel that there's no prophet here and certainly no book of prophecies under the kitchen floor, no need to go look, kay?

She shrugs a little. She seems to have accepted rather quickly - or forgotten her rush - when she realizes how large the Mansion actually is when she's standing beneath it so.

"I'm Azhure," she says, half-paying attention as she looks up and around. She looks back at him and smiles. "Purgatory, then?" she says with a delightful grin.

Here's someone who's not going to gawk. In fact, he's going to grin, and when he catches sight of what he thinks is a peri, he'll run to intercept Azhure at her landing point.

He's laughing, and very happy, and he'll call in a distance, "Hey, Pigeon, I'm here, don't flippin' miss me, this ain't the Holy Land, you'll be alri----"

But the moment he'll see the face, and the curves, his wide grin will be reduced to something politely smiling that hides disappointment.

"... Hi."

Robin Goodfellow, from the [Caliban Leandros Series]. Had a long-time affaire with, well, you might have guessed... 'Pigeon'.

Azhure turned to greet the man as he rushed her, startled for a moment until she realized that given his facial expression he clearly thought she was someone else. Drat. And she was hoping for information, too - now he'd probably be less likely to give it.

"Hello," she said, voice faltering. This was frustrating, indeed. She decided to be more direct, perhaps that would help. "I'm not sure who Pigeon is - I'm Azhure SunSoar. Does your friend have wings also?"

Aha! Perhaps this Pigeon was another Enchanter Azhure might have known by a different name who was also in this strange place. It didn't really occur to Azhure that non-Icarii had wings, at least, not yet.

Robin is feeling quite embarassed himself. He's not usually so demonstrative - and this little mistake of his just touched on a sore point which he'd managed to keep safely buried for a long time.

He shakes his head, shrugs it off, nonchalantly. "Heh, wouldn't call him Pigeon if he didn't fly, would I? Sorry about that mistake. Just an old friend I haven't seen in a while, is all. Be welcome, Miss Sunsoar."

He bows, a tad extravagantly, and though there's little heart in the foolishness, it's not visible - Robin is an expert at hiding his emotions.

"Robin Goodfellow, at your service, Milady." And here's that charming smile we all know and love. The mask is safely stapled back on, and not coming off any time soon.

He changed - something changed, but Azhure couldn't quite put her finger on what. She was still disoriented from her venture, and so she just smiled brightly at him and put aside her thoughts for the moment.

"It's a pleasure, and please, call me Azhure? Can you tell me how long you've been in this place?" she asked, unable to help her amusement at his bow. She'd not seen a man behave so graciously in a long time, though even that had been a farce.

Armand isn't sure about new people. He's new-returned and not feeling at all settled. But he used to always have a kind word for new people, especially those who arrived so confused. She's pretty, but that can be a mask for evil. He tries not to judge. He steps toward her, and smiles. "Don't blame us for not knowing where this is. It's a mystery to everyone. Welcome to the Mansion."

She'll see a man with too-long black hair, wearing more or less a late eighteenth century suit. But he's smiling as if he means it.

Azhure returns his smile with one every bit as warm, if not a little perplexed. "It seems questions of the sort are met with a question in return, so I suppose I should just stop asking," she says with a small, defeated shrug. "So far I've met a handful of people who tell me that this Mansion is the place to be," she says.

She looks Armand over, more or less because his clothing is odd to her - but then again, the loose, draping gray dress she wears of some light and shimmering fabric that has a low back for her wings is probably odd to him. This entire place is odd, come to think of it, and Azhure just laughs to herself, deciding that she won't think the word 'odd' again or she might faint.

"I'm Azhure," she says, holding out her hand. That was working well for her so far.

He bows, a little more formal now. "And I'm Armand." He then stepped forward and shook her hand. "It's usually easier to be very, very confused at the beginning to get it out of your system."

"It seems like this is a routine thing, people just appearing here. Do you stay at the house as well?" she asks, releasing his hand lightly. She's pleased to know that she's met another fellow who's got what appears to be no chip on his shoulder he's taking out on her. Most of the people here didn't, and she realizes that's not a fair judgment, but some people were so very wary of her.
