Daniel has been gone quite a few evenings now an Lestat does not have much worth noting to occupy his time. A few trips here and there, a few affairs to get in order, a present or two purchased. If he cleaned the little home they shared any more there would be no floor left to vacuum, no tiles left on the floors, no porcelain left in the tub, ( Read more... )

A friend can always be found when Lestat visits, and this time is no exception. Anita might have been on her way to Henry's, but she'll stop when she spots the familiar figure.

"Well then," she says, leaning against the doorway, "Look who's back. The prodigal Frenchman."

He laughs a little and cannot help but give her a large grin and even pull her in momentarily for a friendly embrace. "Prodigal, indeed ma chérie. Tell me, how have you been, it feels an age since I've seen you."

The embrace is welcomed, and she kisses his cheek, almost a stolen peck, but it's chaste, sisterly, even.

"I've been alright, Lestat, if busy. God, you'll never believe the stuff that happened to me. But you look good! How's life been treating you?"

With a smile and a movement that is as fluid and natural as any he draws back to a more appropriate distance, taking light hold of her hand and leading her off in the direction of the nearest place to sit. "Tell me about these things, I should like to hear about them. I've come for news really, as I am more waiting now for things in my life to really begin once again and there is not really so much to tell."

A still healing Pandora can be found - she's better every day, thanks to the care of her friends and lover, and now she can faintly sense the presence of Lestat.

He has granted her a boon, and she will not forget it. So here she is, sitting on a windowsill, looking at him.

"You have returned," she comments, mildly, though her voice does still betray her gratitude.

Leaning on the wall nearest to her he gives her a once over, nodding a little with approval. "I had hoped to come back sooner, but didn't have time really until now. You're looking better."

"And feeling better, thanks to you, Lestat." She tilts her head, smiles a little. "For that, you have my thanks."

"No need for it," Despite his words he smiles, "I should hope someone would do the same for me if they should find me in such a state. I could not have left you to suffer such a thing."
There is a moment of pause, then he adds. "I must admit I had actually come in search of you, though my reasoning was somewhat selfish and perhaps you may not have wished to discuss the matter, which of course would have been understandable. Truly I am sorry I could not get to you sooner, selfish reasoning or not. You might have suffered less."
