As she did the day of her arrival, General Jinjur strides in and assumes a position somewhere near the center of the mansion, where she will be certain to be seen. Her hair falls loose over her shoulders because the sharp, silver knitting needles that held it in its knot are clasped in her fist. She lifts her chin, and speaks in a tone of absolute authority:
"Citizens of Desperate Fans! Seeing that there is none who will call himself leader of the community, it is clear that none can keep me from assuming power myself--" (She gives a cocky little smile) "And so, I will. I will see that the community is run fairly and well, before any unjust male dictator can attempt to seize power."
She tosses her hair and puffs out her chest a little farther, raises her chin a little higher before continuing.
"This shall be the state of this community from this point onward. It will be the duty of the men to cook, care for children, and see this mansion cleaned and cared for, along with any other domestic duties I have neglected to mention. Any ladies wishing to assist in the governing of the community will be warmly welcomed-- men will be prohibited. Girls are allowed as much idle time as they please. As for the men-- well, they do say a woman's work is never done, and it is for you to do the work, now!" Her face is aglow with triumph, and the mere carriage of her body shouts of arrogance. It is clear she does not expect to be confronted, though the knitting needles are terribly sharp, if it comes to that.
(Of course, Jinjur is not used to political alliances, and therefore does not realize that consulting with Nessarose first would likely have been wise. But she is little more than a young woman permitted, for the first time, to do just as she pleases, so a bit of rashness is only to be expected, though it is still ill-advised.)
