Well, here's a Collins! He flops down on a convenient chair next to Joanne and grins.

"Hey, Jo! Long time no see."

Let's hope the deck chairs are sturdy, because Jo is dropping her book and launching herself at him for a hug. "Way. Too. Long. Don't ever let me spend that much time with just Maureen again."

We're reasonably sure they're sturdy enough for that! He promptly bearhugs right back, grinning broadly. "Oh, man. I'm surprised you didn't go insane, baby."

It doesn't take long before Maureen shows up, waving her hands around in an attempt to dry them faster. She brightens when she sees Joanne. "Pookie! There you are!" With a grin, she plops on her lap and waves her fingers. "Look, sparkles!"

"They're very pretty, honeybear," Joanne says, in a tone which is not the littlest bit condescending, not at all!

Her grin turns into a pout. "You don't like them."

Olive was sitting nearby reading, so quiet and still that it's no wonder Joanne didn't notice her.

She figures she should leave her alone, so she slips off the chair she was sitting on, and is about to slip away unless Joanne notices her and stops her.

Typist: THANK YOU. Olive has been so loud lately, but I keep getting distracted whenever I go to make a post for her.

Jo gives a wave. "Hey there. Olive, right?" She's not great with kids, so she's a little awkward.

Typist: I had an RP-ing whim today. XD

Olive pauses and turns to look at her, shifting awkwardly from foot to foot, and nods shyly. "You're Markdad and Rogerdad's friend... right?" she asks in her soft voice.

"Yeah. Have you seen them around?" She's a little concerned. It's been a long time.

"I've barely seen anyone for a while now," says Jo. "But I can tell you if I run into him. What does he look like?"

"Okay," Jo agrees. ". . . how long has it been since you last saw him?"

And so here comes a slightly disheveled Bohemian poet, heading to his favourite deck-chair-writing-spot. He's not upset to find it's already taken, and he leans over to peer curiously at the book.

"And what have we here?"
