With a sort of shuddering noise, a blue police box comes into existence in the forecourt of the hotel, and out of the box falls a lanky young-looking man wearing a tweed jacket and bow tie. The door shuts immediately after him, and he whirls around in surprise, "Amy? Amy!" but there is no response ( Read more... )

(*laughs* Only saw this because I had the comm tag me years ago to message me when there was a new post XD)

A short, angry and actually rather smelly man in his mid twentieswho literally has nothing better to do than loiter around with the sole intent on annoying all and sundry and if he can manage to anger them?

Well all's the better really.

Oh and did we mention that he's drunk?

Again? Or was it still?

"HELLO!" What may have been attempted as a friendly grin on this young man's face kind of came off as a cross between a grimace and a sneer.

"It's raining outside. Wanna play a game?"

(*laughs* Sorry about Paul he was the first one to jump at the post XD I have a Fifth Doctor or a Mokuba Kaiba if you'd prefer someone...well more sane XD)

A half spin leaves him facing Paul.
"Hi! A game?" He looks around the forecourt again, seeing nothing out of the ordinary besides this slightly manic looking man.
"Depends what sort of game you want to play." He says, somewhat bemused.

Yay! Someone to play with! I'd ask for Five, but I didn't actually watch DW before this season, so I might be a bit faily XD And Paul is always good value anyway :D

Paul could count on one hand the amount of people that voluntarily wanted to play a game with him.

You know, if he could count properly that is. Not that it deterred him, he was only disappointed that there wasn't someone else close by to rope into a game of 'Mr Toaster.'

"A good game. A fun game." For a given definition of fun anyway. He paused momentarily as he went through his mental list of games. "How about Mr Spicklehead?"

(You have no idea how much fun the DAAS Kapital Paul is to play. Though I am rather wary of bringing him out these days purely because he's been known to scare off some muns XD)

"Mr... Spicklehead. I'm afraid you'll have to tell me the rules of that one, I don't think I've ever heard of it."

He walks to the hotel door as he speaks, sticking a hand out and catching some rain that he then sniffs and tastes with a frown, he can't seem to get a fix...

"Where are we, anyway?"

[Hey, whee, activity! Even if it's only a wee bit. AND ELEVEN SQUEEEEE.]

Clark is wandering by and stops short when he sees the new arrival.

"I... Um.... you're a bit off course. I'm sorry."

Eleven startles at the new voice, and gives Clark a smile, "Ah, but how do you know? Perhaps I meant to come here."

He frowns a little then, thinking, "Unless you know what's going on? What is this place? I can't seem to get a fix on it."

Ty: HI. I couldn't help myself :p

Clark shrugs. "Well, if you meant to come here, you'd be the first." He frowns. "Nobody knows exactly what the place is. It's... a hotel on an island in the middle of nowhere. You show up and you don't leave. It's... not bad, as far as somewhere to be stuck, really." He nods his head at the front desk. "You probably have a room key over there."

[*cuddles Eleven and feeds him fish custard*]

"How interesting!" He paces the length of the room to the desk, picking up an envelope marked 'The Doctor (11)', before turning his attention back to Clark.
"So it's some kind of prison, only no-one knows how or why..." He puts all the details in the back of his mind to mull over later.

"Anyway, I'm the Doctor, nice to meet you."

And here's a Will, who's apparently wandering about, for lack of anything better to do. He notes the new arrival (and the police box) with some bemusement, and heads towards them with a slight wave.

"Hello there."

(AAAAH ELEVEN. HELLO THERE, I LOVE YOU.)

The Doctor smiles, bemused, "Hello! Another prisoner? I'm the Doctor."

Eleven: *bows*

"Well, I wouldn't say prisoner," Will replies with a slight grin. "It's certainly much better than what I was doing before I arrived here." He offers a hand, with a short bow. "Captain Turner."

"Ah well, one man's prison is another man's paradise, I suppose." He grasps Will's hand firmly, smiling all the while, "And what were you doing before here, Captain?"

River peers around a doorframe, studying the Doctor for a moment.

After a bit, she speaks, quietly. "You're a long way from home. Of course, you always are."

Not having seen River enter, he turns his head sharply to give her a curious look before responding slowly, "Yes. I am. But how do you know that, hm?"

She pauses for a moment, closing her eyes briefly before opening them and replying. "Faulty upgrades. Improper... filtering procedures. It's involuntary. Frustrating."

Eleven takes a couple of steps towards her, and looks into her eyes, one after the other. "Yes, I imagine it would be."

A significant amount of visitors have materialized out of the ether before Jon's very eyes (or, if not his eyes, detected easily by some sense of his), a large amount of them bringing their own vehicles. It's something he's grown used to, inasmuch as a man who can never be surprised can grow used to something. The police call box, however, is an entirely new business to him, and this new arrival sparks some interest in him.

Dr. Manhattan looks at the Doctor, taking in all the details of his appearance before focusing on the design of the TARDIS. "As far as can be determined, there is no 'task' to be accomplished in this reality."

"Well, I can't seem to open the TARDIS, so there's at least one task for me." He grins and holds out a hand to introduce himself, "I'm the Doctor, nice to meet you."
