I haven't really tried my hand at writing Gravitation, myself, but it seems to me that a pair like those two, from a series that is truly all over the place, would be harder to characterize than, say the boys from Saiyuki because we do get a very good sense of their characters from the manga-ka. So I applaud your Eiri and Shuichi in this! At no point did I think Eiri was too mean, but neither did I have to think he was being too nice, lol.
Ahahah, and I'm sorry, I can't think of much else coherent to say about it other than: hot, I liked Shu's secret spank-kink, hot, and, uh, I think I'm going to read this again now. LOL Oh yes, and the ending was adorable. :D Great job, thanks for sharing this, Des! <3

I'm of the opinion that MM doesn't like the Gravi characters or her fans. Her hardcore doushinji might as well be from another planet. I've never been able to stomach the anime, so you see, I have a very limited view of these two, so it's easy. XD
It's been a nice break for me to step back into the Gravi world and Eiri. I really do think him and Sanzo were separated at birth.
Thanks again!

And you need to stop thanking me - it was your request that pulled me from the darkness. In actuality it is me who should be thanking you.
Thank you. ♥ ♥ ♥

The comment of soliandxpyne that it would be harder to characterize a pair from a series that is all over the place is an interesting one. While I'm not sure I'd agree that they're "all over the place" - they seem to me to travel in distinct paths and to have distinct personalities - it's that very variability that most attracts me to Gravitation. You can write these guys slightly differently, or at different times in their life, or in different situations. It's not just static. And that's for those of us who write Eiri and Shuichi as main characters, not the others. Just imagine how much more freedom you have when dealing with the other characters ( ... )

I've pushed the boundaries every chance I've gotten, but I haven't completely freaked anyone out yet. Although that Rules story almost did it...
I hope to dust off my Kyosuke fic now, too. Gravi's been very comfortable for me recently so I might just continue. XD
The other one-shot? Oh, I think that's the Nittle Grasper one. I love Tohma. XD
Thank you for reading and all your great comments.

I also adore Eiri's gorgeous, snarky, f'd up ass and the way you write him. He's what attracted me to Gravitation to begin with. I'm planning (hoping?) to write a fic about Eiri's past and future and finally explain the f'd up ass to the point where people find it possible to understand what motivates him. Tall order, I know.
I just saw some of the anime and while it wasn't as bad as I thought it might be, I'll still take the manga any day over it even if it does have music. I'm not sure I'd be able to stand the Shuichi in the anime.
Considering the amount of smut you write, I'm a little surprised at your dislike for the doujinshi, but much of it is pure fanservice and her style is so graphic as to be clinical, not erotic. I find the mainstream stuff more erotic - she draws kisses very well, IMO. Whatever we think of her (and my opinion of her hasn't been soured the way many others have, maybe in part because I feel like I could have written her sidebars), she created these wonderful characters and their ( ... )

I sent you a message about the Nittle Grasper oneshot - "Solidarity", I think it's called? (I have a horrible memory for titles. And to me, that's the name of a Jefferson Airplane song.)
And the writer person I beta for, KusoGaki, and I would both be very happy if you continued "Slices of Life"! Although ... is "Come What May" finished? If it is, that's fine, because we've got our happy ending already, but wasn't there supposed to be more in the way of a press conference and public sex (I seem to remember it having something to do with a bet - it's been awhile since I read that one).
