Oh, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I wasn't sure the story would get many readers so I'm extremely happy with the response.

I wanted Kanan to have an impact, a bittersweet, lasting mark on both of them. I wanted her memory to be mostly positive even though she turned out a little scarier than I expected.

Managing to get emotion out of readers is why I write. You've given me the best compliment I could have hoped for. Thank you.

This is a perfect way to end the story! I can't say much more than that - other than that I've totally enjoyed reading the whole thing all week, and laughing (and crying a bit) and the end just encapsulates the whole thing so well.
