*big hugs* I think you've been doing a spiffing job, and it's very easy for everything to seem like you're not coping at all when you're sick. But part-time is definitely easier, time-wise. Might a different part-time opportunity come up?

Any chance of scoring a HO policy job? Surely you've done more than enough time in the frontlines to use as a basis for being a very useful policy person.

I'm sure that if faced with the posssibility of losing someone with your skills and experience from the Department altogether they'd be keen to accomodate your needs.

Part time sounds like an incredibly sane option. Shame that there are some tactless *insert expletive here* types who are less than supportive.

Good luck with finding a part time position that utilises your many skills. Hopefully someone in the department will demonstrate enough wisdom to make the most of you. If not, I am sure someone somewhere will.
