One other thing that has made me happy lately is (finally!) some new episodes of Battlestar Galactica. Even if they are likely to rip my heart out and stomp on it. And then it will all be over. I am looking forward to going back and watching episodes over again too. I had fun watching previous seasons over with Romandave while he was catching up,

Whoa, wait a minute.

First of all: "Even if they are likely to rip my heart out and stomp on it." This startled me -- I think because in spite of everything else we've seen, it just never occurred to me that they wouldn't find SOMEPLACE to live eventually. Jeez, do you really think it might end as grimly as it began? Hmm. Maybe I should start making my peace with that prospect now.

"I have a feeling that next episode is going to go back to bad stuff though." Holy crap, this episode was GOOD stuff? I'm hoping the reverse -- and I'm looking forward to next episode because I think they'll have to give us some redeeming developments soon. And the fleet's gotta get some direction eventually.

But what I really want to know is where's Cavil? You know the rest of the Cylons are out there somewhere, and I don't think they're out of the story for good.

At the moment, I'm finding Dave's time-travel theory intriging. That somehow they'll end up going back in time to start over. o_O; What D'Anna says to Tigh in the first (new) episode when he tells her she better get going (as they're all leaving "Earth") and she says: "Nah, I'm not going. You know, this is just going to happen again, and again, and again. I'm getting off this merry-go-round." Made me think about Starbuck's return with the pristine condition Viper Mark II raptor too. I'm still trying to wrap my head around that little detail. I know the quote from the book of Pythia "All this has happened before. All this will happen again." used to come up in earlier episodes and Roslin said to Starbuck back in Kobol's Last Gleaming "If you believe in the gods, then you believe in the cycle of time that we are all playing our parts in a story that is told again, and again, and again throughout eternity

Meep, I really need to post my thoughts on this week because it was sooo good. I did listen to the commentary on iTunes and Ron Moore pointed out that the webisodes were made after these episodes were shot so the whole Gaeta/Hoshi thing wasn't in the scripts...which is probably why Hoshi didn't go up and smack Gaeta upside the face after the takeover. And I can't believe he is so stupid to think he can outwit Zarek. Zarek has no morals, he wants to be the king. Oh Gaeta, you ideeeeeeeot.
