Oh, Xiao Lang, that sounds like dominoes. You've never played the game? They were invented in China, actually.

"Dominoes"? Well, no. I haven't played that game before. But I knew the tiles looked a little familiar. Is it-... What are the rules for dominoes?

It depends on which game you're playing. In the basic game, you and your opponent take a number of tiles, and then you attempt to get rid of yours first by matching the number values to the set in play.

There's more than one way to play the game? [Listening... 'A'] Huh. That basically sounds like Tiu-u but-

Is there a certain way to play this basic game of dominoes? Like do you have to draw from a pile? And would they have to have the 'numbers' placed face down in that pile?

... Board games? [... he doesn't know what these fancy-schmancy things are.]

Yeah. Games played on a board. [as if that wasn't obvious. XD] Each game is different with a different set of rules and board configuration. Though some board games are similar to each other despite being from different countries or different worlds. In that case, it's usually the "name" of the game that's different.

You don't play board games?

How did he take it?

[l;sdakjf Witch!mommy! DX] I'm sorry? But I was bringing Clow-san the games so he'd have something to do with his visitors. So you can still play the games, Yuuko-san. [If I have to take you to Clow or give the games to you guys when he comes back from the hospital, it doesn't matter. |Db]

Not very well. I think he was struggling with it. He was quiet for a lot of it. I don't think he wanted to believe me. [orz]

I can imagine. It's not the kind of news one would take lightly.

Sorry? If I knew you wanted something to distract you during your hospital stay then I would have brought something over. [But he didn't and he can't change it now. ;; Also, I'm sorry he was being dead and breaking bad news to Syaoran during that time then? ;;]

No, that wouldn't be. [...] I'm wondering if I should've waited to tell him...

Tiles with dots? Mokona thinks that sounds like dominoes.

Mokona won't say anything.

Dominoes? Really? What are the rules?

Thanks.

Mokona remembers having a double domino in the middle and then having a pile of remaining dominoes. Mokona remembers having to match the dots in turn and making long lines.

As others have said, it might be dominoes. It's like Tiu-U but a bit simplified. [ Pause ] And I don't know how you count points, come to think of it.

I've never heard of 'Scrabble,' though.

Thank you once again, Xiao Lang.

It would have happened at some point... I will, of course.

[wtf at being called Xiao Lang twice today. 'A']

[............................P-pfft. My ancestor ladies and gentlemen. \o]

You're welcome, Clow-zōngshī.

I've never heard of "Scrabble" before either. But fortunately for us it came with a set of rules on the box. Unlike the dominoes.

Ah, although, if it's like a simplified version of Tiu-u then I suppose it wouldn't be that hard to figure out how to count the points. It already seems like a few people know the rules in any case. [;;]

...Yes. Even if it changed that I was the one who told him. Thank you.

[ Well, it's the same as being called Xiaolang. I just changed the punctuation, silly boy. ♥ ]

The inventor must have anticipated the eventuality of no one having heard of his game. How modest of them.

Good thing someone knows what they're doing. I always thought the best part of the game was when you stopped playing properly and arranged the tiles so that if you pushed one over they'd all fall down.
