Also, how did such a beauty of a computer cost you only $700? I must know.

Gateway computers have the wonderful tendancy of sucking hardcore at first. So TigerDirect is selling revamped gateway computers, that to my understanding weren't previously sold, or if they were there is no sign of previous ownership. The computers are spectacular looking and run very well.

So that computer plus a few side upgrades, and viola. Kick ass home media center. As a side note, the entire sound system I had previously, so the only other expansion that is added in that cost would be the external 250 gig hard drive (Best buy had an amazing instant rebate on the $160 drive so that cost either $80 or $90. I forget the exact amount.) and a wee bit of ram.

I have an external card I use already (though there's too much latency with USB 1.0 for it to run DVDs), and an 250 external myself. I shall look into this "tigerdirect." Thank you, good sir.
