Let's Start at the Very Beginning
Okay, so this will probably the first of many posts, not because I have a huge supply of pictures taken during this trip, but because photobucket and my laptop are both being pains in the asses and not letting me upload all of them.
So, here's the first bunch, in some sort of order!!
Here's willowsgrace/Becca documenting every aspect of our trip, including me putting my damn make-up on. Seriously, I have pictures of I-don't-even-know-what, but ya know, for a free photographer I can't complain :P
Here's the full costume, even the shoes that I only wore down to the convention center and for this single picture. A few days before we left for Otakon, I "kinda kicked a rock" at Splish Splash and footwear was a big concern, considering I had to limp everywhere with a swollen, black-and-blue foot. My pinkie toe still hurts a bit, but I can walk now!
Here's another shot of my full costume. I love this costume. I loved it more when people knew where it was from and asked for pictures ♥ (Naruto Artbook). Becca yelled at me to take off my sandals and jump up there, so I did.
Since Becca is not an anime fan, her constant question whenever we saw someone with pink hair was, "Is that your character?" And everytime I said yes, a picture was taken of some poor unsuspecting pink-haired girl. There are a lot of pictures of random Sakura's, but considering I only need one picture to tell this story, you will not see any more Sakura's unless it is a picture of me.
Again - Becca is not an anime fan, so she wanted pictures of things she knew. She knows Star Wars, thus Darth Vader was photographed. BUT OMFG, it took us 8 times before he finally turned around and looked up for us to get the front of him!
MAES HUGHES! TOTALLY DID A BOOB GRAB!! :O Threw his arm over my shoulder for the shot and got a handful of left boob. Quickly removed that hand, but still!
Could not figure out who the guy was supposed to be. Aizen? Hitsugaya without white hair? Random un-named captain? Didn't care, I really only wanted Rukia, but got Strango-man, too.
CUTEST ASH EVER!! He was walking by with two older guys, and suddenly a bunch of girls screamed to take his picture. So he starts posing and being adorable, and the two older guys come back, pick him up under the armpits and haul him off, saying, "Sorry, kidnapping him! Kinda late already!" The cutest part? Ash starts screaming, "But they want my picture! Stop! They want to take my picture!"
See, hydra_666 found Vincent first and asked for his picture, and when I saw him throw his cloak over her I squealed and claimed, "ME NEXT!" to which this picture is the result. Also, he designed his cell phone to look like Vincents. I cracked up.
I kinda flailed when I saw this guy, because I couldn't figure out if was Angeal or Zack, but in the end I just went for it and told them to take the picture. I had told hydra_666 in the car ride to Baltimore that I was looking for Zack Fair - cosplayers, merchandise, anything.
Temari! One of the few that I saw. I'm don't actually like Temari all that much, but I thought her fan was so cool.
Can you saw AWESOME. Because I did when I saw these three. They were everywhere. Becca asked if I wanted a picture with them, but I didn't want to ruin the awesomeness.
THERE'S A STORY BEHIND THIS PICTURE AND THE NEXT 2!! Becca and I were down by the Dealer's Room waiting to get in. hydra_666 had gone to Information. She comes back telling me that she found Zack Fair, to which I screamed, "WHERE!?!!?!" She had told him to wait because there was someone (ME ♥) who wanted to see him. Of course, when we found him, I was in too much shock to say anything.
Thus, during my moment of HOLY-FUCKING-SHIT-IT'S-ZACK-FAIR, Becca started taking pictures of the cosplay group. Including this one, which makes my inner fangirl rage. NOT WITH THE BUSTER SWORD, DAMMIT!!
Finally, hydra_666 taps Zack on the shoulder and goes, "I brought her! Here's your fan!" I managed to literally squeak out, "OMIGOD, can I have a picture!?" Then afterwards I couldn't figure out if it was a guy or a girl cosplaying as him. But I'm sure whoever it was thought I was insane.
This guy was a total jerk. I asked if I could take a picture with him, and his reply was a curt, "Yeah, fine." Probably ridiculously in-character though.
CHOPPER IS COSPLAYING AS NARUTO! This hurt my head so bad that I HAD to take a picture.
I FOUND GINTAMA!! I made Becca help me to literally chase him down in the Dealer's Room. I did see another Gintama, but of course (and you'll hear this a lot) Becca had the camera and was nowhere near me. Just like I kept seeing more ZACK FAIR'S and couldn't get proof because BECCA HAD THE CAMERA AND WASN'T AROUND.
IT'S JIRAIYA. WITH BIG BOOBS. She was working a booth, and I thought she was awesome and needed this picture to prove how awesome she was.
We went to the Lantis/JAM Project concert that night, so we all decided to change clothes. This is what I wore. I kept the wig on because I didn't have time to shower, so I think I wore that flike, 16 hours or something. My head was really itchy afterwards. And I kept being told that my shoes should have been glittery so I would really look like the Wicked Witch of the West.
Most adorable little Nell there ♥ I don't know where we were or where we were going to, but she was just cute~!!
And lastly, Appa, who kept hugging everyone who wanted a picture. Becca asked if I wanted my picture with him, but I didn't feel like telling everyone that I got raped by Appa.
Seriously, there are a hell of a lot more pictures than that! That was only the amazing and lovely highlights from day one! I'll share more later!! ♥ ♥ Also - public, because seriously, if you know who any of these people are, let them know that I got 'em! XDDDD
