Ψ Entry the Ninth - Power Loss

What is this feeling...?

It is as if I have lost something very important, and yet I cannot tell what it is.

Something has been taken away, and I am not talking about memories. I am not the only one to experience this, I see. Though that does not make it any less unsettling.

just a normal rat, confusion, loss, e: only human or not

What is this feeling? So sudden and new! I felt it the moment I laid eyes on you. ~Shot redrobinhood August 11 2010, 18:44:52 UTC
Easy, mini Ranger. I think we've hit another bout of Sphere weirdness. I can't phase, others seem out of it too.

I was wondering if you would pick up on that~ destinyfollowed August 11 2010, 18:52:27 UTC
...mini Ranger?

It isn't enough for our memories to be taken but our powers as well... I hope that this will be a short-lived experience and not a permanent one.

Course I would, I have no life like that redrobinhood August 11 2010, 18:55:57 UTC
Ya know, cause you were a Ranger but just for a short time. Like a trial.

Ok Ok, I'll work on it.

The Tree is a bitch. I doubt this will be a permanent situation. Might get a little weirder before its over thou.

now it's in my head. Oh well, I did it to myself. destinyfollowed August 11 2010, 18:59:18 UTC
I see. That was an interesting thing to experience.

How could it become stranger than this? There are some talking about being unable to walk up walls, and others who cannot sense the presence of their friends, as if they have vanished completely. And for some, the situation is less straightforward, with no noticeable loss of ability but still the sensation of missing something. This is complicated at best, and if it grows worse, I do not want to think what may happen.

Yeah, think I know what you mean. Nothing seems out of place, but something's definitely changed.

It isn't a pleasant feeling. I hope that it will not last for long.

No, it's not, especially on the first morning of a new job. Few things seem to be permanent in this place, though, so it's hopefully more a matter of endurance.

Would you care for a spar later, make sure we're still both up to par? People speak of losing their abilities, but I haven't noticed anything quite like that. It's... not that specific. Just makes me restless.

And it is completely lacking in sense, because why remove abilities that you do not even remember how to use, as it is in my case?

Abilities missing or not, I am certain I can still spar against you. When is a good time?

Like Ghost said, with luck it won't last for very long. I don't know why the Sphere would pick that to affect--I hope nothing bad happens while it's going on.

I- That had not occurred to me.

If some catastrophe happens while all of us are affected... [Pen taps.] That is a worrisome thought.

Can you still fight? Some of us do still have our abilities, so it isn't everyone.

I can still fight. That has not been affected.

At least we are not completely vulnerable.

If I may still swing my sword then I've 'powers' enough.

I'd worry not over losing what ability you've yet to find- like so many oddities, this too ought to pass.

Indeed.

But as Krile pointed out, what would happen if a catastrophe occurs? I am certain that we would be able to defend ourselves to an extent, but less effectively.
