E.T. and Land Before Time were my love affairs as a child. I guess, I had a thing for sappy movies with incredible music.

Land Before Time wasn't originally intended to be so sappy. The movie Don Bluth had planned was much darker and more violent. However, Steven Spielberg, whose wife had just recently given birth to their first child, decided that his new son would not be brought into a world filled with violent dinosaur movies.

It's still a good movie, though.
