The audition

So I got to Longy around 11:50 for my 12:45 audition. I had specifically asked for a 9:30 or a 1:30 audition in order to be able to have Mihail there, but they told me that they were only running auditions from 10-1 (which is the exact time of the BSO rehearsal.) yeah,my feeling on the degree thing is if they deny my resume I can contest thought. St. Louis, Toronto and Oregon all accepted it in the past. NC actually didin't but they said if I sent back the application they would let me..so whatever. :-) Degree or not, its how one plays behind the screen, right? ;-)

I'm not discouraged though, in general I feel like a lot of good things have been happening lately.

Tanglewood on an orchestral resume carries a lot more weight than a GPD from a shit no-name school.

Besides, BPO + Tanglewood...you can probably get into any orchestral audition outside of the Principal spot of a "Big 5". The pickiest fuckers are those 3rd Tier orchestras in bumblefuck KY who pay $15K and never pick a winner - they only want Doctoral candidates, not players!
