As much as I dislike the fact that I'm constantly putting work off until the absolute last minute (generally resulting in me essentially not sleeping), the feeling of release and accomplishment when I finally do finish the assignment that I put off until the very last minute is amazing, and a little addictive ( Read more... )

I think that's why I've become well-trained in sleepless nights and leaving my work to the last second, too. That feeling of release and accomplishment is much more stark.

Hmm, I don't know... I've been doing this sort of thing pretty much throughout my academic life (ever since I started waking up early in highschool to do homework, rather then doing it the night before) and I still love the feeling I get when I finally type the last few words of the essay, or the program finally works just right. I think it actually makes up for the choking panic I'd felt, say, the night before.

I think we suffer from the same procrastination disease...i used to have this game in first year where i would see how little time i could spend on my philosophy short papers to get a good grade (i.e right before class). Very addictive and weird.

I know that game! Yeah, it can be a little disturbing how well one can do with a short essay that was a few hours worth of work before class.

Heh, probably for the Magneta Lane show on the 6th (which you're coming to, right?). Otherwise, The first haf of the easter long weekend (also known as the lsat half of passover).
