I'm holding on to my tape-playing abilities. My cd player/audio tape playing is kicking the bucket after nine years, and I'm insistent on finding another one, despite my mother's proclamation that such things are now archaic. Whatever, she owns a cd player/audio tape player/record player which still gets a lot of use!... well, from me, anyway.

i have a friend, Jordan - kid who was at school with my son - who has just finished two months working at a summer camp in Pa and is about to head for NY to look at the big city. jordan's a bit of a loner - not exactly a wild party animal, but he's smart, weird and fairly civilised.
