it took me fucking forever to find a name nobody else has (someone has logorrhea, for fuck's sake!). in any case, you should add me, because otherwise i will hunt you down and cry on your doorstep about how nobody loves me.

Thinking up a new username that's both available and agreeable, for any site, not just LJ, seems to take an insane amount of time and number of attempts. I experienced that when creating new Yahoo! and AIM names last month.

aim is the WORST. i think i spent literally hours making a new aim screenname. the fact that i can't stand having numbers in screennames makes it horribly difficult.

I refused to have numbers in my new one too since my one and only previous name did. Also, I had to have a name with properly spelled words because I've come to hate my original name that contained a word I knew at the time was misspelled. So, name choosing certainly is time consuming for me too.

i'm glad i'm not the only one who's picky! i also can't deal with having contractions or anything requiring an apostrophe, because having to stare at that missing apostrophe every day would eventually drive me to the point of drooling insanity.
