didn't really work on the painting too much tonight, went and had Indian food with Shannon and Justin. Was nice seeing him.

Blocked in the girl's basic colors and fleshed out the shading in the totem.

I've decided to keep a "live" log of a painting I'm working on to document my progress for myself.
I started this painting last night. I finished the drawing, scanned it and printed it out on transparency paper. Then using my overhead projector and a sharpie I traced it onto the canvas:

I just picked up my boxed set of the Karate Kid movies. I rule.

I've been in a malaise for the past couple weeks. Decided to start a new painting and it's actually pretty therapeutic. It kills hours at a time and frees me from the intangible dread I feel most of the time. I was distracting myself with video games which are loads of fun but ultimately unrewarding and I think that is contributing to my crappy ( Read more... )
