Rode a horse on the beach.

I made none, and probably will make none.

Not anyone very close to me.

My grandmother.
5. What countries did you visit?
Mexico, twice.
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
A budget.
7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Probably 11/4, for the obvious reasons.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Organizing a trip to Mexico City on my own.
9. What was your biggest failure?
I didn't ride my motorcycle as much as I would've liked, and in particular, not on any large or destinated trips.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
No injuries and no illnesses that stand out to me right now.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Nothing stands out, but for the purpose of putting something, I got a lot of joy of the comal I bought on which I made tortillas.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My brother, who's matured a whole lot and is really starting to live his own life.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
No answer.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Besides the mortgage, either travel or (too non-grocery) food.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Our first trip to Mexico.

I don't think there's any song I will associate with this year.

I think a tad happier.

Probably a tad fatter.

I'm too scared to look at the 401k but it might make the answer 'poorer'.

Getting out of the house.

Watch TV when I should be sleeping.

Visiting first
skimmerduk's family then my family.

At the annual new year's party held by Rice people in Austin.

Nope.

The Dark Knight

Probably 24, whose first 6 seasons I watched on DVD this year.
25. What was something you needed to do and didn’t get around to?
Replace a toilet.
26. What was the best book you read?
I'm in the middle of "American Lion: Andrew Jackson in the White House" which is probably the best book I will have read, but the only book I read to completion in 2008 was "In Our Own Words: Extraordinary Speeches of the American Century", which was also quite good.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
There may have been one. I want to leave work now.

I don't know, but I want to leave work now.
29. What did you want and not get?
A flat screen LCD HDTV.

"The Dark Knight"

Went to dinner at the Melting Pot with
skimmerduk. Had a party the previous Friday with friends and Benihana.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
The removal of blinds in my house (and thus the elimination of wake-me-up noise from the cats).
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
Sandals.
34. What kept you sane?
Not being prone to insanity.

No one in particular comes to mind.

Proposition 8, and a coworker's response to it.

My grandparents, when I visited Mexico.

Didn't meet many new people. Oh actually I guess my brother's girlfriend. They seem to work well together.

Routine doesn't often change unless you plan to make it happen.
