Cole sat on the couch beer in front of him. The tv was on but he didn't really see it his mind was miles away as he tried work through the cloud that seemed to hang over him. Nights like tonight he was glad that he didn't always have Max. There was no reason for the little boy to have to deal with his father when he was like this. So far he hadn't

Casey sighed. She'd been so caught up with the trial, she hadn't had much time to see Cole. She walked into the 2-7 and headed towards the familiar desk. She didn't see anyone she recognized, which was for the best. She set an envelope on top of a stack of paper. Smiling a little, she turned and walked back out. It wasn't much, but hopefully it would help make up for her vanishing act.

Cole headed back to his desk spotting the envelope on the papers. He picked it up and opened it up curiously.

Inside the envelope are a couple sheets of paper. On the first page, there is a picture of a cozy looking beach house printed off an e-mail. On the next is Mapquest directions from Manhattan to Westhampton Beach. Below them is a handwritten note.

Cole-

A good friend of mine from law school recently bought a house out in Westhampton. I helped her through a bit of a hard spot awhile ago and to return the favor, she offered to let me use it for a weekend. With the trial going on, we haven't been able to see each other much. I was hoping that once it winds down we'd be able to find a free weekend to go out and enjoy the end of summer at the beach. Let me know.

Cole grinned sitting down in his chair he read over the note and the directions. He kicked back in his seat with a smile before sending a text to Casey.
