Looking into the future

Apr 08, 2008 22:48

So the EMT gig is going well. I've only been there about a month or so, and already I'm starting to look at/plan for the future. Which is turning out to be a very stressful thing. I want to take the IV tech course (and pass it this time) and become a Nursing Assistant (its a prereq for every nursing program I've found).

Cut for long rambling about my future and my career )

rambling, future, emt

How about pick "his" brain? Sir_Barak in Columbus is a great guy, and if I'm not mistaken, an ER nurse. I'm sure he'd be happy to talk to you.

Hey darling...we've not me in person yet cause you were working at the last build weekend. Your friends and loved ones share LOTSA good stuff about you!

Have you looked into online courses for either pumping up the old GPA or for your future pursuits?

Check out Walden University (www.waldenu.edu)....a very good mostly online school...and they offer nursing!!

if it helps at all, the nursing assistant course is crazy easy. I NEVER studied and got an A. And I'm not smart. So if you can find the time for the class itself (it should only be 8-10 weeks, 10ish hrs a week) you'll be fine. Don't worry about much study time.

Hey sugar. :)

I don't know if things have changed, but many, many moons ago I was a CNA, and then went on to CHHA (It's a home care certificate for CNA's) and back then, being a CNA meant -nothing- towards becoming a nurse. Nothing at all.
