It was a constant goal, working towards absolution. Sins a mile long trailed after Oz like water. It was easy to ignore the small lies and little crimes of youth, but trysts with Veruca, the attack on Tara, these were the first specters to haunt him.
Beginnings of losing himself to the wolf. Slow at first, until the wolf and Oz were not fighting for dominance, instead Oz, guilty and confused, recessed to a dark corner of himself. The wolf killed, ate and lusted.
Absolution from that trail of sins was a daily struggle now that he was Oz again.
