Well, I checked on the status of my OCS packet yesterday, and it's complete and ready to be sent in. However, brigade S-1 told battalion S-1 that the next selection board doesn't meet until October. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the 3rd ID will have a slot for you -- it is nerve-wracking though!

We opened your gifts Saturday (well, I'd already opened them, but I brought them to work with me) and Rick now has the scorpion hanging in his truck, where fuzzy dice usually go. They were tickled with the shotglasses and keychains, too.

We are not quite polar opposites politically, but there's little overlap!

I knew the shotglasses and the elephants would be hits, but I wasn't sure about the other stuff. I think the scorpion is a fake, but it still looks kewl. :)
