Last night I had a 100% collar rate -- every alarm I dropped in on, I caught whoever was responsible and left them for the police. With a 'dress rehearsal' the night before, it wasn't exactly challenging... so I had a couple hours to work on logistics.

I mentioned it in my text yesterday -- the locals seem to be caught in some sort of recursive time phenomenon, repeating the same day. We're on number three right now...

I didn't speak with you yesterday. I wouldn't say crazy, but working long hours can be very damaging to a person's perceptions on time and reality.

Let's talk perceptions then. Tonight you got off work earlier than expected. At one point on the train ride home you briefly lost cell phone reception. The number of arrests today was especially satisfying -- including one disturbance of the peace where a homeless man was ranting about the churches -- you made a note that it was a possible lead on the murders, but unlikely given his state of mind. When you got home your roommates told you you spent so much time at work that they'd like you to lay off dealing with business matters when you're at home (presumably including me -- sorry about that). You also found out that Tatsumi-san more strongly opposed to the two of us working together than you originally thought, though you find his reasoning flawed.

Does that about sum it up?
