Saw Connie last week. We caught up a bit, which was good -- I hadn't seen her since before the whole mess with Danny started up, and I wasn't getting in the middle of it. And thankfully things weren't weird, which really is better than things could have been.
And then, of course, there's the case, but every time something seems to come up, I wind up doing something else that's not quite as essential. If they were just keeping here to keep me on a case, I wish they would have at least let me still take my vacation time. I could be on a beach right now. Seriously.
