People who haven't experienced faith are just like people who are tone-deaf to music: they don't understand.
You have a way with words I envy.
The difference between faith and music is that with music, people are either talented in it and some, well, as you put it are tone-deaf. But with faith, we're each given the opportunity to search for the truth. Some may not have as many opportunities to seek the truth (i.e. perhaps because they live in a country where christianity is outlawed) but God has been able to reach out to those types of people through dreams, missions, etc. "Seek and you shall find." That's His guarantee to us. And I'm seeking, and I'm understand why I'm a christian. I love it because a lot of arguments for Christianity are scientific and I love biology and all that. I'm also trying to learn about other religions now for comparison. Otherwise, I'd be like the scientist who merely relies on induction.
