I am intoxicated with youth. Too drunk with vitality. I need some harsh cold reality to sober me up, because this is college, and it most certainly is not a microcosm of the real world. All around me are youth and energy, and I wonder how these people have so much life in them all the time. Sometimes I can't keep up, and I just want to lie down

Slow it down then Nancy. Sit back and relax, observe life for awhile rather than actively being a part of it. Then, when youre back on your feet, youll be ready to take it on headlong and at its own pace once again.

I feel the same way sometimes, but maybe the fact that college is not a microcosm of the real world is something we should appreciate. I mean it's the last few years we have until we are forced to face that hard reality; we have the rest of our lives to live in the real world. I'm not too anxious to get a head start on something I'll be doing till I die.
