Who is djknight??

I just got this unexpected and rude comment from LJ user djknight.

I don't know the person, but several of you are mutual friend with him on LJ. His LJ Profile describes him as:

I'm a Biblical researcher, counselor, and a teacher of Scripture.

From his comment, which I'll copy below, he is apparently not someone who practices finds in Scripture ( Read more... )

Wow- that's really weird :( And I'm sorry- how frustrating it must be for you!

I'm almost wondering if his LJ account got hacked. His manner of dissing his opponents may have gained him some enemies. It seems unusual for a Bible teacher and defender of the faith to go right for the jugular like this, including taking God's name in vain to insult me.

But, perhaps he is just so used to the whole world opposing me that he took me for an enemy and pressed the "kill" button before taking a good look at who I was.

Egads. How old IS this paragon of wisdom?

I don't mean to sound like the geezer I am, particularly since I was 22 when I started in the pastoral racket. It's okay to be young. Still, I wouldn't have described myself as a "Biblical researcher, counselor, and teacher of Scripture," though I guess that's what I am (among other things). Sounds a bit too forward, even for me.

Good point. His MySpace states he earned his high school diploma in 1995, so I guess that would make him just past 30.

No higher education listed because, don't you know, those institutions have all been captured by secular humanists, who (need I say) are turd brains.

What is sad is that you were in agreement with him.

I've found myself on several occasions online being misinterpreted entirely. We need to give others the benefit of the doubt and, at the very least, question what they mean before deciding they mean what we think they said (did that even make sense, LOL?)

In any case, your reply didn't warrant the name-calling and unpleasantries.

Out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. I hope for his sake his account DID get hacked.

At any rate it makes me try harder not to behave this way, and to keep on trying to undo the damage people can do to others using Christ's name. =/

Rather than having been hacked (which I'm doubting now, because the same purposeful misspelling he uses in the insult to me is sprinkled through his regular LJ posts), I'm wondering if he isn't just a troll.

I mean, it almost seems to be asking too many planets to align to have a KJV-only, Calvinist, Young-Earth-Creationist with bad grammar and a short temper, on a never-ending crusade against stoopid atheists.

I mean, he's just too much like me to be believable (LOL) ... so maybe someone invented him for fun.

He's someone who added me randomly some time ago. I never friended him because he didn't actually request to be on my friends list and he didn't ever actually talk to me. I've seen him before in the christianity forum, but I never saw him act as he did now.

I'm sad he treated you this way. I've now banned him from my journal altogether.

Thanks, I think he added me the same way, with no announcement.

He seems "wound too tight" as they say.

Perhaps he's constipated and needs "bowels of mercy," to use a phrase from the KJV.
