I have launched into learning Ukranian, as well as the Welsh I'm already working on. After talks at work, it seemed like a good time to start, and I felt more interested. I originally intended to learn Russianm, but the free language program from the library lists Ukranian instead. Amusement abounds at one of the Russian books I picked up from

Well, around here, Ukranian's more useful if you are wanting to be a translate. Most of our Ukrainians also know Russian, but most of the people getting referred to as "Russian" are actually Ukrainian.

Yeah, I'll definitely be wanting to translate. Ferndale has a big population of Ukranian, Mexican and Punjabi immigrants. It would be nice if someone could help with at least one of these languages.
