[It was a long day for ol' Raven. Sure, the nap was good, but waking up without memories? Takes a lot out of an old man. The flights of stairs up to the eighth floor didn't help matters either

[She couldn't stifle her gasp when she saw the change in the room listings. She told herself that it wasn't him, that it was simply another with the same name. After all, "Raven" was not an uncommon name. Still, she found her feet taking her to the eighth floor, because she had to know.

The door was slightly ajar, and, biting her lip, she pushed it open. She heard the scream then, and she saw the man's back, and she felt her hopes crashing. It wasn't him.]

[He slowly reached a hand out and touched it, feeling the surface, but not feeling any sensation over it. He started moving, his hand still on it.]

Okay, calm down. There's probably a perfectly good reason for th-

[And then he saw her. His hand flew off of it and buttoned the second button from the top with speed he didn't know he had. If nothing else, it wasn't normal. He had to blend in. He had to hide it.]

[Tear had been wandering the halls of the apartment building, trying to memorize the room assignments in case she should ever need to know where the other residents were located. Hearing a loud scream, she put a halt to her task and dashed down the hallway, coming to a skidding halt in front of Raven's door thanks to her heels and a recently waxed floor.]

What's going on in here! Is something wrong?

[And Raven wheels around, his shirt back on, but not entirely unbuttoned.]

Whoa! What's the panic?

[Tear doesn't seem to notice as he doesn't seem to be in any danger.]

Oh, I'm sorry. I heard a scream and just rushed in instinctively...

I take it nothing terrible has happened?

Well, it shoulda happened a few hours ago, but I guess this place just dawned on ol' Raven a little too late, darlin'.

[Terra was walking to the stairs from Raven's door after guiding him to his room when she heard him scream. She quickly ran back to the room, pushing the door open.]

Raven, what happened?! Are you alright?

[The shock wore off his face almost too quickly. Either he wasn't worried or he was putting on a very convincing act.]

Terra, darlin'! Nothin' particularly, why'd ya ask?
