To clarify... My journal name is: Deus Ex Machina (it just didn't work out that way), which in Latin means "god from a machine."  It's a literary and drama term...kindda hard to explain.  Hmmm... It’s when a story is ended in a forced or ridiculous way.

woo woo for fridizzle! My bday is soon, start thinking about what wonderful gift you're going to get me :] <3 God this whole graduating thing and college thing is just eh...scary, or is to me, I'm not prepared emotionally for it either, turning 17 is freaking me out.

Here's th easiest way to explain it---->Deus Ex Machina is a literary device that means "an apparently insoluble crisis was solved by the intervention of god, often brought on stage by an elaborate piece of equipment."

Wait, that's confusing too.

THis is better: " 2. An unexpected, artificial, or improbable character, device, or event introduced suddenly in a work of fiction or drama to resolve a situation or untangle a plot. 3. A person or event that provides a sudden and unexpected solution to a difficulty."

Still kind of confusing.

Just tell people it's like when Donnie is attacked by Mullet guy in DD, and he says "deus ex machina" because Frank's car starts coming down the road. The car is a plot device used to get Donnie out of the crazy situation.
