I've found that a mixture of chamomile and lemon works fairly well.

Chamomile and lemon? Do we even-- um are those things in the garden?

I make the tea quite often and thus have the chamomile. The kitchen will supply the lemon...or the pub, for that matter. You only need ask someone.

If anyone says to exercise before bed, don't believe 'em. It gets your adrenaline going. I usually just read. Helps if it doesn't have pictures and you don't skip paragraphs. [He has a partner that forgets these things.]

I'm also on a thirty-seven hour day. By the time I'm ready to sleep, I'm flat out exhausted.

Maybe I'll try that. I mean, there's no shortage of things to read here at least.

I'm a field agent. You know. One of the guys that the top guy sends off to do everything while he's flirting with the pretty out-of-towners.

Funny. My guy at the top always found time to insist on doing both. Still, field agent for what?

I am unable to meditate, but I can listen if you require it.

It's nothing. I've just been having some bad dreams lately.

When I have bad dreams, my counsellor always helped assist me search for their cause. [Though some of his dreams could be influenced by weird environmental factors.] That usually caused them to cease.

What are they about?

You have dreams? [That is so cool! BURY OURSELVES IN SCIENCE!] How does that work?

Just-- I don't know. They're like a mash up of some horrible stuff that happened years ago, and some not so bad stuff happening now.

Pummel yourself into exhaustion.

Hey, I have it from a very reliable dude who commented before you, that pummeling myself will just get my adrenaline flowing.

In the short term. Then you get the adrenaline crash. It's like coming off of a sugar high.

[...Of course for her there's also usually a SHITLOAD OF FEAR accompanying the adrenaline. But you know. Whatever works.]

I'm thinking I might opt for the Lemon and Chamomile tea suggestion, if it's all the same to you.

I mean, if I wanted to come off a sugar high, just eating a crapload of sugar seems like it'd get the job done just as easily.
