In Germany, "Dinner for One" is always shown on TV on the 31st of December (Youtube should have it). Most Germans associate it with
th "English humour", even though English people usually do not know it.

I can't think of much that is featuring Christmas at the moment. But there is "Familie Heinz Becker", which is a comedy featuring a family in the German southwest with a very distinctive dialect. They have a Christmas episode (first part here) that has reruns at Christmas. It might be difficult to understand; it is so to Germans, too.

Sorry for the double edit; failing at spelling.

I second that. I might add "Nirgendwo in Afrika" as the year changes in it... although it takes place mostly in Africa.

"Der Feuerzangenbowle" is another one that is played a lot here during Christmas.

I second "Die Feuerzangenbowle" and "Dinner for One" as shows Germans would usually watch on/around New Year's. Another thing is the New Year's episode of the TV show Ein Herz und eine Seele.
