I went camping in Holland this weekend. I rode one of those slow heavy Dutch bikes through the tulip fields, which were in full bloom. Envy me.

Also, I found Dutch easier to understand than Bayrisch. When they started making Dutch anouncements on the train I thought that some really heavily accented Northerner was at the com.

That is awesome, such a great holland experience! So jealous. You're just mad you don't get to go to the beach with us this weekend. .right. hehe.

I found dutch completely incomprehensible. When I was in Amsterdam, I was fucking clueless (of course, I was there during my 13 hour layover from the states to Munich so I was a bit exhausted and useless). But yeah, Bayrisch isn't so bad, but it all does sound a bit Gaelic at first hehe.

Bayrisch is surpassed in incomoprehensibility only by Swaebisch, which is not only hard to understand but also spoken incredibly fast.

----News Flash!----
The park we're staying at is Grayland Beach, not Twin Harbors (they're only about 3 minutes from each other). Just thought I'd give y'all an update.

My car will be leaving 9-ish Friday night. It is imparative that someone "hook a brother up" (as the kids so love to say) with some directions prior.

My band (whose name I hate) is playing Thursday at 10 at the Comet. Come on down, yo.

Their name can't be any worse than that band in which you were previously.

The park gives these directions: Travel 22 miles on Hwy. 105 south to Grayland. Traveling through the town, watch for park signs.

Here's a mapquest to Grayland:

1. Take I-5 South for 60 miles.
2. Merge onto US-101 N via EXIT 104 (you'll be in/near Olympia at this point) toward ABERDEEN / PORT ANGELES. Stay on this for about 5 miles.
3. Take WA-8 W toward MONTESANO / ABERDEEN. After 20 miles this becomes US-12 W. Stay on this for another 20 miles.
4. US-12 W becomes US-101 N / E WISHKAH ST.
5. Turn LEFT right after it changes into Wishkah onto S H ST.
6. S H ST becomes US-101 S.
7. Stay STRAIGHT to go onto WA-105. Stay on this for 18 miles.
8. Turn LEFT to stay on WA-105.
9. Turn LEFT onto SMITH RD / CRANBERRY RD.
10. Turn LEFT onto SCHMID RD.
