Hey, I'm still alive.

Work is fecking busy. I may be in the bay area within the month for a bit.

Other than that... don't do verizon. Don't let your friends do verizon.

Kobe beef is very fatty, but tastes as good as you'd think it should.

Yep, planning on it... I hear you can do a wine tour via train through napa valley or something.. interested?

I was planning on sending you an email as soon as I get a solid date... it depends on how long it takes to ship an EMC there from the east coast and other logistical problems.

Some time on Thursday it looked like they had opened up their box in the basement of our apartment building and just disconnected our line. When we called because we didn't have dial tone, they tried to hard-sell us on a $12/month plan so that they won't charge us for coming into the apartment to see what's wrong. Otherwise it'd be a $75 dollar fee. Oh, and they wouldn't be able to send someone out until Tuesday.

I called our apartment maintenance guy to take a look at the box and he saw it was disconnected. He says that they do this a lot. He even knew about the plans they try to sell you when you complain.

We notified the public utility commission and the VA attorney general's office. Not sure there's enough to do anything about it, but even if they start asking questions, this may stop.

man. that's shitty!

are you looking to get that $75 waived or can you just sever the ties with them and go with another telecom?

Well, we canceled the visit when the maintenance guy fixed the problem for us.

Man, if we get charged the $75 after that, I don't know how I'd react.

Yea fuck verizon! I've nearly finished severing my ties with them. I no longer utilize their services though they still say I owe them money, fuckwads.

Ah, okay. As long as it's not cooked-through beyond "very rare."
