your descriptions of the library in Oxford remind me of my trip to the Cloisters in Manhattan; the feeling of being surrounded of old things to the point of being transported backwards in time. wonderful.

my biggest desire on reading through was to open a map and track where you were. :D

and i didn't realize you were both Indian food fans; Dave and i had it all week this week after a visit to an Indian grocery in Syracuse yielded many sauces, a block of paneer, naan, and pancake mixes. we'll have to cook for you guys next time i'm up: week in January after Winged Throne party. :)

Yes, I had a similar experience at the Cloisters, and this was comparable.

And yes, we love Indian food (I grew up eating it relatively often as my dad cooked curry-- inspired by his days in the Peace Corps in Malaysia-- and in NJ we actually had restaurants even back in the 80s). We actually just had homemade chicken curry, aloo gobi and samosa for Christmas dinner with my folks. We'd love to have a feast with you and Dave if there's a date that works!
