I do not believe this, and furthermore it is indicative of a type of pervasive brainwashing that people undergo in order to try and get them to believe something patently false. Nice try and enjoy your island filled with death snakes. Don't complain to me when you are bitten in your hotel by the now indigenous hotel chameleon viper.
This is highly speculative, I should point out. And that's the islanders point. Scientist come here looking for trouble, when in reality, there's next to no impact on the daily lives of regular Guamanians. The birds took the hit and, as the article says, that was 25 years ago.
