That is a lot of patience for such a little boy. Hair care was never too much of an issue with my boys, 'cause, well, white boy hair is pretty easy after that first hair cut and it's not like Donovan had much hair until he was 2+. Rosie's hair, however, is a constant torment for us both. It's so curly and it frizzes and it mats itself into weird locked flat curls.
Well, some days are better than others. He seems to be getting used to the routine and he seems to like his own hair, particularly when it's twisted as it mimics mommy and daddy's hair.
Rosie Pie's hair is curly and curly hair just takes more care. She'll probably get used to getting it fixed as y'all develop more of a routine. Maybe you can begin to introduce things like barrettes and/or bows so that getting her hair fixed can feel like dress-up? In any case, it would probably lead to some fun pictures ;0)
I've only recently been able to convince her to even let me a) brush it or b) put it in a pony tail. She likes barrettes, but only as a fashion statement shoved into her mess of hair, not as a way to actually keep hair tidy.
