"Thank you, dear," Gabriella smiled at him, and then moved to get smaller bowls to divide the batter into. She was going to make rainbow cupcakes, and was to pour the colours in the bowl when she suddenly had a boyfriend in her face.

"Hi. I love you too," she replied, and turned so that she could kiss his lips. It was nice. Just doing something normal. And something that was more fun than their usual reading and work. And not sex. Comfortable, again. "I love you a lot."

The sex is always wonderful, as is the hanging out and reading, but doing something different is always good. Another stolen kiss, and a laugh. "Are you trying to distract me from my fantastic cupcakes with your affection? It won't work."

"You´re the one who started with the ´I love you´ crap, Jean. So you tried to distract me first. It´s only fair," she replied coolly, though there was a bit of a smile playing at her lips as she turned her attention back to carefully dropping colour into the bowls of batter, and then using a separate spoon in each to mix them together, until they were bright. "Mhm, perfect." A murmur as she added a drop of red to a light blue, to make a rich, yet light purple. "And even more."

"Oh this -- I love you crap? It's crap? I'm so offended. Fine, I'll never say it again." He gives her his haughtiest expression, turning away from her a little to mix his cupcakes.

Though he's doing his best not to smile.
