I've had the same weight gain problems with both pregnancies - and then "caught up" all at once in the 28-34wk period. So we must be normal in some odd way. =)

Yay for a good appointment, and here's hoping for some back relief! I go for my 32wk appt on Monday.. where has the time gone?

I was about to say "it sounds like water retention"...

Just take things easy and keep off your feet (you're probably doing that anyway). And drink plenty of H20 to help rid your body of excess water, if you're really concerned.

Sounds to me like either baby had a growth spurt or your body is finally catching up. Either way I wouldn't be too worried about it. All the pictures I've seen of you look like you are all baby :)

That's just dumb.
I recently gained about ten pounds in *one week* and went to the hospital complaining about how my hands and feet and arms had just swollen up, and they were like 'oh, you're just fat'. Which was just *peachy* after being told to gain more weight because I lost so much in the first trimester.

First it's 'oh no, you need to gain more', and then suddenly it's 'wow, you're absolutely obese'!
Grr.
