Thirteen DNA samples sent out for retesting and revaluation against case files. Eight grossly incomplete, lost or lacking testimony notes that could probably have done the job back in the day, but seeing as most of the people are dead or long moved away, it is nearly impossible to try and make contact to fill in the blanks. This sounds like a fairly small-scale case, but... I'm curious.

If most of the people are dead or moved away... what significance does the case have, to you?

Cases, actually.

I'm not the sort to spend my time idly spinning around in my chair, so being as though I'm stuck where I'm at, I've been pulling up some of the cold cases that were never solved and offering a fresh eye to them as well as any new technologies not previously available.

No significance per se, just the opportunity to offer some closure to anyone interested, and to hopefully close off some of the open dockets. Figured its the least I could do with the time I've available.

Might I ask why this would draw your interest?

No reason, in particular... I guess that I'm just always curious to see what other detectives are doing with their time and resources.

Maybe, if you run into a technicality that seems to be a dead end... I could take a look at it?

Other detectives? I thought I knew everyone out of this precinct by now or at least pissed all of them off in some way or another.

If it comes to that, I don't see the harm in it and would appreciate the assistance, though might I ask whom it is I'm speaking with?

Of course I'll be back ♥ I just need to be a greedy brat for a few days and head home. My original assignment was never supposed to last this long, or at least I didn't think it would, so there are just some things I need to do.

If things weren't as they were, I'd invite you to come with. But if anything drastic happens, I'll only be a couple of hours away, easy enough to hurry back if I'm needed.

Oh good, if I thought you wouldn't I'd tie you down. ♥ I know how that goes, just I don't know how quickly things might happen now. You, Asuma, and Roy really seem like the only lifelines I have yet, I mean...I have no idea what Havoc wants anymore and I don't feel right asking.

If things were different I'd pack up Luke and we'd come with, I think he'd enjoy it. However, they're not and I get to deal with it. Yay adulthood?

Kinky ♥ But seriously, I'll have my cell on me everywhere I go if something happens. I really don't have to go, but I want to. I'm also trying to squeeze in a meeting with the boss man to see what in the fuck he's got going on and what his plans are in regards to me, but that can always be done another time if I'm needed here.

Perhaps when some of this shit settles, definitely. If nothing else I can use the extra set of hands to move all my shit back home ♥
