Running all of my normal background checks on anyone involved with the trial; court officers, all of that, turned up nothing. I've got probes out trying to dig up any and all dirt on Sophie and her expert witness, and even going out on a limb with the jury to see if there was anything suspicious with the selection procedure or anything of that

You think he meant it literally or is he suggesting something? Knowing him, there's a million things he could mean with just simple use of words. (And my mind isn't in the damn gutter, thank you very much.)

That's the thing, I'm not sure. Kurenai appears to think literally, but I've got to go with what you guys think on that one, being as though I'm the person who's dealt with him the least. (Didn't say a single solitary word~)
Passport status?

Even so, maybe just stopping by and just seeing what's going on could be useful. Are we going to be working with Interpol or CIA on this, or is this just very low-key? Not to mention, do we have warrants to get near him?

If I can't dig up anything conclusive, that will definitely be the plan, whether the bitch wants visitors or not. I've got one interview lined up for tomorrow, as more information comes about, I'll go from there. Right now it's your precinct and the FBI, and it'll branch from there as needed. I've got my people digging into anything and everything they can with all of our resources behind it, and some of the best people I've worked with are being kind enough to lend a hand with whatever I've got to throw their way. It's possibly a little premature, but an old fling associate of mine is one of our contacts that works with the international cases that have access and connections with Interpol. As soon as we've got enough to say that the bitch took part in a single illegal act, we'll have the clearance to go where we need to go and do what we need to do ( ... )

The most recent one, I saw it. Admittedly, that's more then enough for me to go in with guns blazing (literally), but if we're going to be taking a little field trip, I want my I's dotted and my T's crossed.

If Luke is in trouble then I need to help him. I refuse to leave him in that type of situation. I don't really care if I end up flying out to Paris only to find nothing is wrong, you understand that I have to make certain he's all right.

Trust me here, please? If I didn't think that things would be fine, we would have been having a cup of tea with the Queen of England hours ago before heading on to Paris proper.
